Funeral Homes and Hospices:
Partners in Caring for Families Upon the Death of a Loved One
Hospice and funeral service each have an important role in serving families at that difficult time when they are experiencing the loss of a loved one. In this program you will learn more about the role of hospice, what happens at the time of death and how funeral homes and hospice can collaborate to assist families at their time of need.

Office of Vital Statistics Update
The Office of Vital Statistics will be providing “how to” tools that will assist you in managing your death records. Among the topics covered will be the steps to transfer a record between medical certifiers, how to return a record back to yourself, printing a copy of the death record for your files, and what to do when your funeral home name and address does not appear correctly on the screen. She will also cover various issues that are preventing records from being filed and give an update on the process of getting all medical certifiers online by January 1st as required by law.
